Looked it up and it seems to be Sedum spurium Purpurteppich Thanks Aster nice to know.

Actually it is now better called Phedimus spurius. The Botanists have been at it again.

Mr G gave me the answer Poanna, Sedum/stonecrop family.
I've not heard of the word Phedimus before !

Phedimus spurius comes up on google as the scientific name common name sedum and stone crop.

Lots of plants which used to be called Sedum are now called by other names, such as Hylotelephium and Petrosedum as well as the afore mentioned Phedimus. I could do a full list of the changes, but I reckon my typing skills are not up to it.
There are still a lot of Sedums though.

Sorry Owdboggy. When I saw spurius , I did think it a joke. Must have entered wrong spelling when asking Mr Google. I tried again and received assurance. I shall have to alter all my labels and move with the times.
