I photographed this blue flower yesterday at the vet clinic. Please identify. Thank you for your time in answering my question.

Is it perennial and would it grow from a cutting ?

Thanks, Motinot...
I've looked up your suggestion on the internet and the blue colour looks right, but the petals are maybe not quite the same shape, and the leaves on my photo are smaller...
not sure...what do you think ?

This looks like the one bobg asked about recently. The answer was Ceratostigma Plumbagonoides (spelling may not be correct) or another variety...willmotianum I think depending on whether it is shrubby or dies down over winter. I have it in my garden.

I would agree that it is a Ceratostigma, but again not sure what species of that genus it is.

Thank you, Roger and Lily...
the bush in the pic is about 2 feet high...
having looked up ceratostigma willmottianum, this seems the likely candidate...

On the internet info. it mentions suckered roots... does that mean it spreads underground and comes up all over the place ?

BBC site says cuttings in March-April, Terra. It's plumbaginoides which is invasive.

Mine is the 2' shrubby Willmotianum Tt and it does look just like this. It doesn't sucker but I do find the odd 'baby' growing nearby.

You're a sweetheart. I'll have to wait with Autumn Joy until i can cut it down - it's about 18ins high.
