Sunflower heads/seeds
If I take the seeds out of my dead sunflower heads will they grow if planted? I had about 8 massive sunflowers that i grew this year ....... not bad for a 1st timer!!

Hi Tulsalady,Thankyou for your reply. As each head died off I cut it from the stem and just left it in the garden for the birds. Can't remember when I planted the seeds for these , but I put them in and forgot about them and the result was good as can see from the photo.I am new to gardening so its a bit of trial & error!

Hia jay yes they will grow but wait till they are dry, you won't be starting them off untill spring will you. I must say the ones in the pic look great. Don't forget the birds love them as well , you will have plenty to keep them surplied in the winter.
