What is this?

Can anybody tell me what these berries are, I thought that they were blueberries and was hoping to make jam, but I think that they are something else, hope I don't make poisonous jam!!

They are certainly NOT blueberries/blaeberries/bilberies.
The leaves look like a laurel so I would not advise eating them until properly identified. Assume them to be toxic.

I too think they are laurel and thus toxic. Go to http://www.mapability.com/gallery2/v/pestwalk/walk05/DSC06710.JPG.html and look at the picture - looks almost exactly like the image you have put up.
