what is a false nutmeg shrub.I came acrose this last night in a flower arrangement night.Does it grow out side or inside a greenhouse.What time of year do you plant this and how tall does it grow.many thanks.annie

Thats what I know it as, though it is also called pheasant berry. The stem in your arrangement might make a cutting if you are lucky. They are easy to grow shrubs but as Owd says it can be invasive.

The shrub I know of by that name is Leycesteria formosa. This is a very hardy sometimes invasive 2 metres tall shrub.
