As life unfolds, happiness is something you come to realise as being a commodity that is given, not received, and our own happiness is determined by the amount we give out to others. Anything else always results in a continuous search for happiness that is never attained.
In my experience, whilst many gardeners do not have an incline about this, they do practice it, and subsequently, they are amongst the most happiest people on this planet, often thought erroneously to have been caused by the joy they receive from flowers etc,
