Does the black rub off? If so it could be sooty mould, this usually follows on from an aphid attack. The aphids exude a sugary sap that the mould then grows on. Check under the leaves for the aphids and if they are there then spray them with an appropriate insecticide. The leaves will drop later and watch out for the same next year.
