Cutting Offshoots

United Kingdom Gb

Hi, Someone kindly just helped me identify some Cordylines in my garden and suggested sawing through the offshoots to get rid of them.

I take it this won't kill my plants? And also, can I keep the offshoots once they are sawn off? Seems a shame to get rid of healthy plant?

The ones you cut off won't survive, they have no roots. See my other answer posted under original question. Shouldn't kill the main plant, and even if it does, they're not expensive to buy, come in many more interesting colours now, and grow fairly rapidly.

How do I say thanks?
