I recently bought three patio roses, why have the leaves started to drop of.

The patio roses are all in pots,when i potted them i used garden compost bought from a D I Y store.They started to get black spot after a few weeks,so i have started to spray them with rose clear.

Black spot will cause leaf drop - clear away all fallen leaves as soon as you see them, make sure you have the roseclear to hand next year - where there's been blackspot one year, it'll be back the next - it overwinters in the debris on the soil and in the soil itself. Treat every couple of weeks, feed the roses in spring with a specialist rose food.
