Can anyone please ID this plant

Argyll, United Kingdom Gb

This is growing in the wild around a disused sawmill in the West of Scotland. It looks as though it could be quite prolific. I would like to find out if its a Yay or a Nay for the garden.

Potentilla (anserina?) does looks pretty close. Thank you. Its a shame the flowers arn't out to make things easier.
I will have to pick a piece next time to have a good look at but in the meantime I'll have a google, but as they state there over 500 vaieties I may be sometime.
Thanks all

Look up the plant common name 'silverweed'. There are cultivated versions. the flowers are yellow 'buttercup-ish'.

Beautiful leaves, shame if its a weed alltho i prefer the saying ~theres no such thing as a weed..jst an unwanted plant. ;)

It's a pretty leaf but I'm pretty sure it's weed. They say a weed is just a plant in the wrong place!

Well thanks all.
This certainly seems to be the Potentilla anserina/ Silverweed. Thanks Weeding & Seaburngirl for the ID and everyone for your comments.
Seems this has to get a resounding 'nay in my mind.' It looks nice but we have the ideal growing conditions here so the 'wrong place'..... to prolific 'me thinks'.
Thanks again.
