Pachira aquatica Twisted dieing

By Arran

I've got a Pachira Twisted where there are 5 stems twisted around each other and my problem is that one of the stems has died and i was wondering what to do with it !! do i cut the dead one away or leave it ??

If you've got one with a plaited stem, it will be difficult to remove the one that's died and will leave gaps in the "plait" formed by the other 4 stems. Think I'd be inclined to leave it in place.

Thanks for the reply, sorry it took so long to get back, yes i agree if its only one then it would be hard to take off.
so i take it that ive got 5 plants in the pot and they have just plated them together,
Any idea how much to water them ? ive been waiting for the soil to dry out then leaving it for another 2 weeks then giving around 2 pints of water as its around 6 foot, thanks again for your reply and sorry for the time its taken getting back.

Sounds about right - though it is dependent on temperature - I have a huge palm which I water in a similar way, but if the heating's on, or we're having a heatwave, I need to do it weekly.

That's where I got my large palm from - only place I could afford one!
