should stachys be cut back. If so when

could anyone tell me the best time to cut back stachys. It has been great this year and the bees are still enjoying it.

Leave it till its finished flowering, then cut the stems down. you can leave the leaves, though, over winter if you want and tidy the plants up in the spring.
