Plant ID
I'd posted this before, and nothing conclusive came of it. Here it is again - with flowers on, which I hope makes it easier - from a garden I visited yesterday. Any ideas please?

Yep I agree with Moongrower....a campanula, the flower is very similar to a Canterbury Bell.

Thanks both, but I'm even more confused now!
I can see why you think that the flower facing us looks like a campanula, in this pic it actually does. However in the flesh as it were, the plant itself doesn't look like any campanula I've seen (there could be other different-looking ones, obviously. Fuchsias don't all look like your "typical fuchsia") I'll repost the original pic now, and tomorrow should be able to post a new one of my own same plant in flower. Yes, mg, leaves and flowers are of same plant here. Last time I asked, suggestions ranged from Agastache to Hedge Woundwort to Monarda...
I'm wondering if it isn't some kind of non-useful salvia?

I still think campanula - take a look at http://images.google.com/images?client=safari&rls=en-us&q=campanula+photos&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=MfGQSs3AE8fajQe84r36DQ&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1 and see if you can i.d. from there

Girls, I've been out in the garden pruning the hedge again today (phew!) and every time I walk past The Purple Thing I think hm, could be a campanula as far as the flower is concerned. Pic to follow very shortly - I'm supposed to be cooking some tea, packing kids' stuff for tomoro, scraping wallpaper, and 97 other things...
thanks for your time, both!

Are the leaves and the flowers from the same plant? Could be a campanula.
