From preparing the soil, nursering, ... and take care .... and no harvest.

Of course you can....you can plant thousands of them. Look at the pics underneath, this was a small trial plot in Darwin and there were hundreds. But HOW you can do it? With a lot of manpower or with planting machines. Do you have seedlings? I don't know how things go in China. You will have to go to your local agriculture advisor, ask about soil testing, spray, diseases and plagues. I believe in some Asian regions rats are a big pest, as they attack the young trees. You really have to find out what the conditions are like in your area. Teak is a tropical tree, which has to have certain temperatures and humidity. They do however, grow dormant during wintermonths. I am sure it is a great investment for the future as hardwood is always in great demand.
Good luck.

Trees for Life is a charity started about 20 years ago to restore the Caledonian Forests in Scotland. Over 100's of years the ancient forest has been destroyed by felling and burning, more latterly by grazing of red deer, until there are few remnants left.
Trees for Life is the inspiration of Alan Watson and they initialy started by growing Pinus sylvestris (Scots Pine) from native collected seed and planting them in an area of Glen Affric. Over the 20 years they have done tremendous work both in Affric and in other areas of Scotland.

Marguerite,

Sorry to be stupid or technically inept, but how do you post 'related photos' like those you have posted on teak growing, when answering a question?
