Hi Lisa I would lift and divide and replant them in the ground rather than into pots.

i 'm in agreement with moongrower. next spring after any flowers have finished or if no flowers, feed the foliage of the bulbs and let them die down completely. there is an urge to clear the foliage up too soon [well true in my case] and this is when the bulb makes the fower for next year.

SBG- sorry I did not give a complete post - you have! I would add that the wether this summer has not been conducive for bulbs to set flowers for next year.

Morning, thank you Moon Growe and Seaburngirl I chose a new spot for them yesterday and Seaburn that could be part of it, as they die back I do tend to clear the foliage before they have completely died back.
