Clematis - Burma Star

Wiltshire, United Kingdom Gb

I want to move my clematis to a different part of the garden, is there an ideal time when i can move it or should i keep it where it is?

Yes, you most certainly can move it. If you can, wait until autumn, just cut it back to about two feet and take a good root ball. Prepare the planting hole with ideally a little mushroom compost if you can get it, worked into the soil. Clematis prefer alkaline conditions and mushroom compost is alkaline. If not, mix in some John Innes compost with your soil rather than an all peat based one. Top off with plain soil and away you go.
