ALSTROMERIA. When would you recommend planting seeds for Alstromeria. Also how to care for them. I noticed these plants at my florist and thought how nice they looked.

hi, most are hardy in the ground but a few are less hardy when the temp gets below -15. I lost all but the orange king in the winter of 2009/2010.
I find the self sown seed grows away well. I think I would sow the seed in Feb. planting out the young plants in may/june.
