I have an Elaeagnus pungens shrub which is rampant. How and when do I prune it?

United Kingdom Gb

The shrub is about 6 ft high and 8 feet across but this is too big for ur small plot

This shrub can be used for hedging, which means it should be fine if you cut it now, but the usual time to prune these, if necessary, is after they've flowered, which is usually June/July. Prune some back now, and give it a good hard prune next year.

How do I say thanks?
