Heather for colour all year round

I want to plant some heathers but they must flower at different times of the year. Only the small shrubby types would be suitable. Any suggestions as to which ones I should buy?

You can easily get heathers for all year round flowering, just do a google search for a nursery in your area that stocks a variety of heathers. But, and it is a big BUT most heathers will grow into large, rank, bushes unless you keep them pruned.
