I have been cutting down this large bush in my back garden and i have found some geastrum quadrifidum fungi how can i get rid of them as i want to turn this part of the garden into a vegetable patch and i dont want them to grow in between the veg

Wow earthstars, the toadstools can be removed but you wont get the underground parts all out. with good cultivation the fungus shouldnt affect the veg you plan to grow. But as they prefer coniferous conditions, if its a large conifer you have removed, then the soil will be very poor and will need lots of soil improver added.

You are so lucky! I would be very happy if some grew in my garden! Just enjoy the lovely shape - they will soon disappear and as Seaburngirl says they will do no harm at all to your veg.
