Twenty-eight of these were under the roots of a fuchsia I was moving.
When washed they are pure white. They are hard yet cut as easily as a potato. Their sap is very sticky.

Could they be bluebell bulbs?

I'd go with blubells too. or they could be grape hyacyinth but they seem a bit big.

I would say definitely bluebells as they are notoriously "slimy/sticky" when handled!

Bluebells - I'd throw them out - where you've got one, you'll soon have millions, and there will still be some in the soil where you got these from.

How do I say thanks?
