Ho-hum. Not an easy one, at all, Angie. I'll peruse my book. How tall is it and is it upright or a sprawler?

I would go for Geranium Sanguinium at first glance.

mmm well it think it is meant to be an upright, Spritz... it seems to have a simular habit to G. Splish Splash... but as it is new in, it is not yet bushy enough to hold up it's own stems... but would gues will be a simular shape and size once established. and the leaves look very simular too, very deeply cut if that makes sense... Flowers are quite large, approx 1.5 - 2" accross.... it really is a stunning shade of purple... this pic is no camera trickery... it was listed on ebay as 'Kashmir Purple' and the picture on Ebay was consistant to the plant i have.... but does'nt look much like yours Spritz does it. thanks Bobski... but i think the leaves are usually more rounded (not as deeply cut) arnt they on sanguineum?... Spritz is the expert on this...

No, I think Bobski is right. G. sanguineum has quite dissected leaves.

... just had a look,, no not like that at all... i do have G. sanguineum var.striatum.... and rounded is proberly not the best way to discribe the leaves... I knew what i meant lol... and no not like these... the leaves on this are much bigger and deeply cut, but some how looser...again proberly not the best way to discribe them lol... they are very much like 'Splish Splash'

The clarkei 'Kashmir' ones have petals that are more pointed, not rounded like this one.

I looked at 'Spinners' as that is purple, but it isn't a match. Mine is still flowering, as well.
