Calling all Geranium Experts......

essex, England Eng

Hi all, wonder if you can help, I grew a batch of Geranium 'Splish Splash' this year from seeds collected in my garden... From the plants i kept for my own garden, all but one of them came true to the mother plant.... The one that did'nt is this lovely white one with silver viens..... i must say i am really very pleased with it... but would love to know what to call it.

Do any of you know which varieties where used to bread 'Splish Splash' and if so is this one of them? i am guessing that it has reverted to one of the original varieties it was bread from... any and all help would be welcome...
Thanks

It's full name is Geranium pratense striatum of which there is a white form - var. albiflorum.

No idea Ang - sorry! But this is very pretty! Is this from seed sown this spring? My Splish Splashes from the seed you sent me and sowed this spring are all looking healthy, but no flowers at all yet...

Hope someone can help with the name :-)

It is still technically 'Splish-Splash', Angie, as the original plant was propagated from a plant with a faulty gene. So it is 'son of Splish-Splash' as the babies from seeds don't come true.

I found an article about it! :-)

LOL. Nice one!

I wouldn't dare be serious with my suggestion - 'Drip-Drop'...no? Maybe not! Well, it was a joke. ;-)
