CHIPMUNKS ruining everything I plant

I cannot plant seeds or flowers in containers because we are over run with the little critters. Any ideas?

The year after we were overrun with chipmonks, we got fox and coyote back in the area. Mother nature may provide your best solution, you just have to be patient with Her.
