Gardening Questions Unknown plant

I saw this at Hestercombe Garden today - there were a number of them in a formal pattern, so I assume they are annuals. Does anyone recognise this plant please? Its colour is a deep cream, not white, and the buds are large and round.

Hi there Spritzhenry, I think it is an Hibiscus trionum or 'Flower-of-the-hour'. Very lovely.

Yes - thanks - I agree - I had a message from 'Stonewall' who suggested this, and looked it up in RHS book. It really is lovely, I must track it down! Plantfinder here I come!.
