is it practical to try and move a 12 ft cupressus cashmeriana?

It's such a beutiful tree, but has to be moved to make room for a conservatory. I would like to donate it to a public park rather than jut cut it down

The problem's going to be the size of the rootball, which you need to keep intact if it's to survive. You'd probably need to take out an area of soil 6/8feet by 6/8 feet and the same down, possibly, to ensure you get all the roots, and how you going to lift and move it anywhere?
