how do remove Rye grass from my lawn?

Nickyto8's right, lawn weedkillers won't work on rye grass. If you hate it that much, I'm afraid you'll have to dig it out, fill up the gaps with soil and reseed.

A broad leaved weedkiller for lawns may work but as rye grass is grass, it may not have any effect on it. Sorry cant be more help
