pruning of russian olive trees

Help! I think I may have over pruned my russian olive trees. I took off a good amount of the inner canopy branches. Will this be detremental to the tree? If so is there anything I can do to lessen any negative effect if any this may have on the trees. Thanks!

wanting to sell 4 fern trees

I have 4 established fern trees; one is 4 metres, two are 5 metres and one is 7 metres. I am currently re-modelling the garden and don't want these trees anymore. Does anybody know where I can sell these trees and the sort of price they would go for?

Once again hanging baskets

what I am looking for is a list of plants that I can use in a full sun hanging basket. I guess the easiest way to explain what I would like if possible is this:

A list consisting of plants that you would put in the middle of the basket.
A list of plants that could go around the edge of the basket.
A list of plants that you could put into the side of the basket because the basket I am going to use is a wire basket with sphagnum moss.

If anyone knows where I could find a list of this nature it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

looks like rhubarb

I have a large amount of a plant that looks like rhubarb and right now it has a red and purple flower on what looks like a seed stalk. The flower does not tower over the leaves, it is about the same height. The leaves are slightly more rounded on the edges than rhubarb and it seemed to survive under the snow and looks much the same now as it did in fall except for the flowers, they came with spring. Does anybody have any idea what this is and is it edible. My mom wants to eat it.

Plant forsythia near retaining wall?

Hello. I am interested in planting forsythia for privacy. We have a retaining wall with a fence around the top which encloses our yard. There is a small, steep hill that slopes away from the retaining wall. I am wondering if it would be okay to plant the forsythia bushes/trees about a foot or two from the wall (since I have very little space in which to do it) or will it damage the retaining wall?

Thanks for any help!
