This appeared in my greenhouse.
I didn't plant it and there's nothing like it growing nearby
It's about 5 feet high and resembles a multi-stemmed sweetcorn plant with green flower spikes at the end of each stem.
Does anybody know what it is please?
Thank you

I bought the original plant a couple of years ago in flower (lovely little starry flowers). I think I probably over-watered it to start off, because it rotted a bit, but then each leaf started to make a plantlet. These were planted up in half and half compost and sand, and have all thrived, including what remained of the original! Can I do anything to encourage them to flower, and what sort of compost shall I pot up the babies in, so not to repeat my experience with the parent plant?

We have a massive Lime Tree in our rear garden, which is subject to a preservation order. On cutting back the base shoots recently I noticed what has the appearance of an off white plastic bottle base pushed inside a hole in the trunk, and it is really hidden almost at the very bottom of the base, which is why I probably haven't seen it before. I had a little prod and tap but it sounds nothing like plastic and I have absolutely no idea what this thing is, it cannot be prised out either. Is there anything this could possibly be?

What a lovely friendly website this is.I am very new to gardening so it will all be trial and error for me. My father had a wonderful garden with vegetables at the very end of the garden and was very innovative - growing a wonderful grape vine which harvested many fruitsand lots of wild and wonderful plants. I am a real lover of nature and wondered what would grow happily in a south/east facing garden. I would like to grow interesting flowers, not necessarily wild colours but ones that are different to the run of the mill type flowers. Any suggestions?

I got this orchid in July.. I am so not an indoor plant person... I have managed to kill off most things. However, this orchid still has the 7 blooms on it that it came with plus a bud fell off. Now it has two buds looking ready to burst and another 2 on their way.
My question is what do I do with the stem that is heading for the pot? Do I curl it back up to train around the loop again?
