What a Great Site!

BlogTitle…..I am talking about GoU not my soggy plot!

Found you yesterday while searching for a named rose on the internet and been sat at computer hours now…well it is far too wet to garden and this is a constructive, educational site … though I could be ironing….
So far I have discovered that one should ask permission of an elder tree before picking anything off it. Perhaps this series of wet, dull months that is supposed to be a growing season , is all my fault..not knowing anything about elders and witchcraft I poisoned a wild one last year. Without asking if it minded. Sorry , so sorry, English gardeners I have brought a curse upon us all.
As soon as it fairs up a little I am going out to find a seedling elder, and pot it in the best of compost, shelter it from the elements, feed it well, tie a pretty bow around it’s pot and say sorry to it’s dead ancestor :)

Thanks everyone , I won't mention the 'I' word again (Hubby is doing his now...well trained!...he also cooks).
You will have seen from the national news that I was not jesting when I mentioned the rain, we are situated right between the flooding in Cumbria and the flooding in the Newcastle area!
My Avatar dog (Gem), her new sofa mate (Sky) and the lodger dog (Toby, large, LARGE Labrador with us on his hols. for 10 days) all very miffed about lack of walkies yesterday. I'm miffed about lack of weeding oportunities, cats just miffed at having a new dog in the house. Husband miffed at me telling the whole world he does his own ironing..oh what a happy house! :)
