A much needed up date on my cottage garden.

Well this will be the cottage garden’s fourth Summer of existence.
Its been a tough garden to create due to the logistics of getting everything in and out through the house ..(no access ) Each year my husband asks, “surely your finished buying plant’s ?” . Image asking a gardener if they are finished buying plants …..have you ever !!

Anyway the garden has been hit with floods, harsh winds, fences broken down, every gardeners pest you can image.
Its seen my two cats , Eedapuss and Reefer buried near the apple tree. My new rescue cat Spartapuss is a demon in the garden. He digs up all my Allium and Lilly bulbs , not to mention climbing into my containers to go to the loo !!!

Its amazing how much it has filled out, though the husband wants a bungalow . He’s feed up having to go up and down those steps !!!

Funny my husband says something similar to me-"you must have all the plants you need now" ?

Very similar situation......I have built a new garden and have no access so have to bring everything through the garden and we have a problem with wet borders .also, our fence post broke in the strong winds a few weeks ago so, I can empathise!

How wonderful to see someone saying The Husband! I get uptight when men say The Wife as if she's a sort of kitchen accessory. Now we are getting our own back!

Steragram I really actually call my husband , " the man " when I speak about him. He really loves the fact that he's the main character of my garden and tales of woe, and boy oh boy does he play up the hard done to . Always ready for a photo opportunity...especially when he's not looking !!

Wow Poppy, that's a beautiful oasis of a place. I love the 'sanctuary' feeling you've created there. It's one of the main qualities of a great garden for me, and one that for now is a little lacking in my exposed plot. But it will come in time...you've got my brain cells going! There is also a far eastern feel to your garden which I love. :) Well done 'The Man' too!
