Oh, I like these!

7 Apr, 2011

Beautiful and it's yellow...

Thanks guys!
I've always liked the look of them, and finding this in flower with four new shoots just coming up swayed me - just need the right spot (or any spot if I can find one) for it.

Thats nice Meanie.

are you sure the title/name isnt a tongue twister?

lovely flower ~ i love that shape. is it a climber?

7 Apr, 2011

Thanks Milky.
Sticki - it's not a climber. They're a member of the Lily family, which if happy will spread quite well.

oh sorry, i can see now ~ it was late when i saw the photo, its very attractive

8 Apr, 2011

I do like this one meanie :o))

8 Apr, 2011

my favourite one:) I think they are most happy with semi-shaded spot...

10 Apr, 2011

That's kinda the spot that I have in mind for it - trouble is that it's a new raised bed that isn't built yet!

10 Apr, 2011

haha - well - so what are you waiting for, hehe... But I think if you talk to your plant nice, promise it a seventh heaven - it will wait patiently, lol

10 Apr, 2011

It's a job for the royal wedding day Kasy!

10 Apr, 2011

oh, I see... lucky you - I have to go to work as nothing is happening, hehe... waiting to see the results anyway:)

10 Apr, 2011

Apparently I'm a miserable sod, but I'd have been happy to work too!

10 Apr, 2011

im working too! im sure there will be plenty on tv so we can catch up later!!!!!

11 Apr, 2011

Oh lordy..... am I going to have to avoid the TV for six months after as well????

11 Apr, 2011

and several days before i should think meanie ~ better get a dvd player??? or you could try growing orchids ~ they are very fascinating i gather???!!!!

11 Apr, 2011

I've just got the box sets of seasons 2 and 4 of NYPD Blue Sticki - twenty two episodes in each set!

11 Apr, 2011

that should keep you going then!! and a few blogs on GoY?? perhaps not on NYPD ~ unless you could do NYPDGD ~ the gardening department version???

12 Apr, 2011

The multi award winning NYPD Blue is quite simply the greatest crime series of all time - the only show to come close was the Swedish Wallander starring Krister Henrickson.
It's rather lacking (thankfully) in car chases and shoot outs, concentrating on the development of the characters and there relationships, with the crimes themselves being rather incidental to the series as a whole.
There, that's my fanboy bit done!

12 Apr, 2011

hmm maybe i will have a look at that. waking the dead got too gruesome for my liking but its finished now anyway so i need something else, dont watch much but its nice to have something to look forward to!!?

12 Apr, 2011

I watch very little, and sadly, NYPD Blue is long gone......
If you can do subtitles, then the French series Spiral (series 3) is now being shown on BBC4.
Unfortunately, Krister Henrickson never signed a new contract, so the Swedish Wallander may now be dust too.

12 Apr, 2011

why oh why do they stop doing the good programmes?
i will try the subtitles ~ sometimes they are ok, i have watched a couple of films with them and they worked ok.

12 Apr, 2011

It always depends on the quality of the program - Spiral 1 and 2 were slow burners and hopefully 3 will be the same.

12 Apr, 2011

so long as they keep going ~ thats the main thing ~ only other option is to write your own!!??

just thinking ~ how about an interactive one ~ could use wii technology to manipulate characters!!!???

12 Apr, 2011

A step too far maybe......

Works well with comedy though!

12 Apr, 2011

think it would certainly be a comedy ~ im not very adept at working those things!

12 Apr, 2011

Me neither - in fact I'm a complete moron in that department!!

12 Apr, 2011

but you're certainly not in the plant department!

12 Apr, 2011

Sticki - I have more than my fair share of cock-ups!!

12 Apr, 2011

ah well, i can stay in blissful ignorance of that cos i only see the wonderful plants you put on here!!

12 Apr, 2011

That's the plan......

12 Apr, 2011

working well!!

12 Apr, 2011

Nice flowers. Yes we watched WTD too. I like Midsommer Murders as well although that's seems to have changed a bit too. WOuldn't like to live in that vicinity. They must have a good turnover of houses for sale after all the murders. LOL

14 Apr, 2011

Shame to see WTD go, although it maybe was getting a little bit too CSI'ish towards the end.
Can't say that I'm a big fan of MM, although I've never known a village with so many stately homes!!
Best British crime drama? Taggart or Cracker maybe. Or...Ashes to Ashes! Silent Witness is always a good watch, although like WTD it is getting rather CSI'ish.
Now films! From the US I offer Heat or Goodfellas; from the UK we have Get Carter or The Long Good Friday.
