I have this too DD bought it last year along with a couple of others, first time I've grown them, do you cut the old foliage off yours? not sure whether you're supposed too or not still looks ok.

Wagger it is an Acer, Sinbad you should cut the old leaves off (did mine two weeks ago, and put some compost over the emerging flowers) thanks Michaella, Gee, Amy and Irish I love this tiny plant.
