Crocosmias and watsonias are both iridacae so they are distantly related.
If your crocosmia is not flowering well, it has probably got congested. Dig it up in early spring (just as the new shoots are coming through) and discard a lot of the corms, replanting the rest and giving a general feed.

Is this related to Crocosmia. That spreads like anything here and is very hardy, but I don't really like it because not many fls come on it.
