Love to grow this plant, it's tough, blooms forever like an annual, but it is a perennial for me, and the butterflies love it .. What more can you ask for, right..!

Plant seeds March/April.
Cut dead growth back in spring to avoid winter frost damage.

Lovely perennial that has been with us in one way or another since 2004.

Arrived unannounced in my front garden and has now spread everywhere. I love the way it grows through other plants and I have now transplanted some into the back garden. Seems to thrive in the heavy clay soil and doesn't mind getting its feet wet!

Bought as seeds in 2006. It is supposed to self-seed but it hasn't done so far. However I have discovered that it roots very swiftly from cuttings so I'm propagating that way because it's quicker. Good butterfly nectar plant.
