yes your right it does look a bit like a daff in this pic does'nt it - it also looks quite big - but it is tiny. it is only the size of a buttercup sweet little thing is'nt it, there are lots of buds on each stem too so i think it is more like a 'spray tulip' lol it's the first time i have grown this variety - glad i got them now!

thanks Egg, i'm sure that yours will look lovely once it kicks in - spring does seem to have come very early here. must say i don't mind one bit! lol

mine are in semi shade, but they do seem to perk up a bit when the sun is on them so maybe, they do look quite floppy though when they are closed - they open every morning and close again of a night - pretty arn't they!

early cream/yellow tulip approx 15cm long with upto 12 star shaped flowers on each stem, much smaller heads than most tulips flowering early to mid spring, planted in trellis bed and woodland bed, autumn 2007
