these look fab Andrew, i have some of these, and also the purple ones, but mine are still just little buds at the moment - hope they look as lovely as yours when they come out!

it is really different is'nt it - but the flower is actually white, it just has blue stripes but it does look as if the whole flower is a very pale blue does'nt it!

hi Fl, yes it is a bit different is'nt it. the flowers are actually white the only blue is the vain and back of the petals but it does give the effect of this beautiful pale sky blue - one of my favorite spring flowers i believe it is related to the blue bell. they are relitively easy to find in the uk, but not sure about the states.

relation of the bluebells, completely hardy and trouble-free. flowers appear early in the year and unlike the bluebell each flower has a small fused tube at the base, increase quite quickly to form large clumps. height 4" flowers silver/blue with dark blue stripe.

divide clumps in summer - replant at once - any well drained soil will do thrives in sun or light shade.

i have planted mine in between and around the short blue grass in drifts in woodland bed
