What a bargain. Fabulous bamboo and my love of acers goes without saying lol
On photo - bamboo
A beautiful tall arching bamboo with polished ebony-black mature canes and dark green leaves.
I introduced this grass to my garden last summer i have two they are really graceful and i love them.
I can't wait for this years display i'm still learning to look after them.
Libby.
We have 3 of these in our garden
The black-stemmed Bamboo, to contrast with my 'aurea'.
Bought 07.
Brought from ebay as very small plant. Was told it was clump forming . Planted in the garden then at the beginning of the year these really tought shoots came up through the weed liner and the purple slate!! Husband had to dig it out and put in in a bucket in the ground - hope this was a good idea

I think bamboo is a great plant. I have plans to add this one to my Japanese bit of the garden but the contrast with aurea might tempt me to get two ;o )
