I love the Passionflower.My sister had one already growing in her garden in Rochester.Mum cut it back and its regrown with vigour and flowered.I have a passiflora Caerulia growing in a pot, but it hasnt flowered.It wants a garden with a wall or fence to get its teeth into.
These are the original and most passionflowers I think.My minds image of the spectacular flowers are like your photo.

I have never seen anything quite like this before....it looks like a sculpture.

Its in a pot in my flat.It wants to be in a garden with some soil to get its roots into, and sun on its leaves.Its not flowered at all, the buds keep dropping off :(
I love the mystical blue flowers, they have inspired many people with their intricate structure.

Another plant that orginated from my dad's garden and has had a troubled history to this point, but is hanging on in there.

bought from QD late april, i have put it in along the fence in the right hand bed, where the white jasmine was that was'nt doing too well, the jasmine is now in a pot in the greenhouse to see if it picks up.
bought it from homebase - Passiflora caerulea white lightning - will it live in scottish climate

This passionflower must love being on our south-east facing wall as its almost covered a whole wall in just under a year!
