Very old fig tree (probably as old as the house, 1830 vintage). Produced LOTS of fruit in 2007, our first year here. Hoping for similar crop this year. Any suggestions on new ways to enjoy or preserve fig crop very welcome!

robust
requires potassium not much nitrogen
may fruit twice a year,mainly autumn.
to avoid canker cover any cuts with tar
I was given this small fig and it has 4 big figs on it now, still quite hard. though.
