Has the poor person recovered yet? I suppose you won't know, unless you catch him again next time you want a rock! ;-)

I don't know; he was a nice stranger helping us poor women out. Last time I saw him he was headed for a nearby bar!(Our version of a pub!) Probably needed reinforcment by then!

I love crocus and this little guy is just stunning! Our botanical garden pulls them off every year, but they have cold storage. Not sure if the bulbs'll come through our -40 winter out alone. Beautiful

Members' notes...
spring to early summer flowering crocus producing solitary flowers, 3-6cm long in white or shades of lilac or purple.
big yellow dutch crocus, first flowers end of jan 2008
The first harbinger if spring, it is always uplifting to see that first shoot of crocus poke it's way from the soil. Even with snow still on the ground, you know that all is right with the world and spring is just around the corner!
Add a few bulbs yearly.
Dutch Crocus very large heads flowers from spring to early summer.
scattered all around the garden quite a few along the left side.
Planted Autumn 2007 in front garden and pots.
20 new bulbs bought in Sept 2008 from Cora in Bucharest (plain purple and striped). Planted at front of blue bed, and pink bed, and next to path in back.
