Members' notes...
I have this in the front garden. Bought when a thug ripped out the box bush there and a neighbour suggested that I tried 'nature's barbed wire' instead! Great for bees when in flower, and blackbirds love the berries.
Prune after flowering is over but try to conserve the berries for the birds.
This plant grows in the front garden, I put it by the boundary wall, mainly to stop the kids from sitting on my wall. We get a lot of little boys who play football on the road outside, so it is a regual congregating area - it works.
