The leaves on my Aucuba Japonica have developed brown stains. What could be the cause of this

We have 3 of these and have been pleased with the nice flash of colour the foliage provides.
On photo - Spotted Laurel
This is another shrub to provide sunshine in the garden. It does try to 'walk'.
Three shrubs planted 2005. Growing slowly but steadily. Badly affeated by severe winter in early 2006. Since then not so much frost damage.
Front garden on NE side of porch. Inherited. Severely pruned Oct 07.

Could be wind damage - mine has these too after cold winds lately. I might give it a feed to boost it a bit, then go over it with my secteurs to tidy it up.
