My kids always loved making these 'talk'. Even though they are now in late teens and early twenties they still like these!

I have added them to my wish list. Did they germinate well?

The first packet of seeds was a complete failure, so I tried again in the propagator and had a good lot of seedlings. The weather was a bit chilly when I tried the first lot - they just needed some extra TLC!!!!

Looking at your photos this colour has to be my favourite. I don't think I've seen butterfly antirrhinums before, they're lovely :-)

I always have Antirrhinums, but until this year they've been the 'normal' ones. From now on, it'll be these! I do hope that they seed themselves like the others do.

I sometimes get these growing in my garden from seeds which have come in from elsewhere. Always exciting finding out the colour of their flowers!

I started snaps this year too.... put the little seedlings in the bed and said...amen... you either live or you don't.... and they are thriving and reblooming... Antirhinnum..(I think) was my another of the stardards my parents liked...Dahlias, Zinnias, Snapdragons, .....so pretty.

By coincidence there's a self-seeded white Antirrhinum in the photo I just uploaded.
That snapdragon must have been sown by a bird.
I didn't plant it there, but I really appreciated it ! :o)

Bless those birdies! they've brought a number of plants to me...I now have Lysimachia that I didn't plant...and a crab apple tree that I didn't plant, I take their contributions as excellent suggestions and find other varieties or buy more plants to augment them... :-)!

Members' notes...

Chrispook

These antirrinums overwintered and then flowered. Much better show than photo shows.
March 26th 2008 seeds sown indoors. Garafarm make.

Snap Dragon grows best in full sun. They grow well in average soil. After the flowers have died off, cut the plant back to about six inches. Then add fertilizer. This will promote new growth and a second bloom.

I always have a few of these seeding around my garden after getting one plant from my parents several years ago.
