Was watching the wee bluetit from inside this morning.
Sorry all pics taken through glass but got better shots.
The wee thing kept coming and going with bits of stuff for the nest..so busy! It went up and down from the railing quite a few times landing on the top of the box before eventually going inside..amazing I think. :))

Wow you have a really good view of this little chap from your window Pixi, how lovely for you. I was thrilled the other day when I noticed I too have a little family being raised in my new nest box, so we are both going to be mummys!!!

That is a brilliant documentary for us Pix, considering you use your phone so well done! What was the item in it's beak? Is there a lady with a blond wig that walks past your garden, blissfully ignorant that it's developing a bald patch?

It's so good to watch this happening, from nest to fledglings. You will soon have little birdies bouncing (literally) around learning to fly.
I had a brood of starlings in an old shed once and when they were fledging, I never knew where they were while they were practising the flying business and was worried even about opening the door.

Yeah isnt it great Poppy? Oh no I dont want to be a Mummy again tho lol!
Hahah Severn! Maybe! I dont know what it is that they are taking into the nest..they fly away along the gardens then come back with all this stuff! The box must be near full by now! It really does look like a blonde wig tho ! ;))
Yes Oj.,.just hope as the fledglings try to fly out they dont fall and Suki might eat them..that worries me as its jsut outside the back door. Might have to let her out the front instead for a while. :)

This is brilliant Pixi, at such close range aswell.
You will have to build them a launch pad under the box with safety net, Lol.

You are so lucky Pixi. My husband put up three boxes but we have had no takers. :o(

I was putting out some bird food earlier and the birds were waiting impatiently in the bushes.........just made me think that we must look huge to a bluetit......

Lol Willi! Might have to!
WEll Linda I have one down on the shed..maybe too cold there..have seen a few ohvering about it but no takers there..this box was put up two years ago and now the pair are nesting..takes them a while to decide I think :))
Yeah Pam..they see me and I jsut freeze so as not to frighten them..lucky to get these shots really :)

Aw - it's lovely isn't it - nature being busy at work? Good blog hen! :)

Maybe you could just keep Suki indoors for a couple of days at fledging time?

Not sure what's up with mine. She goes in every now and then for a good while and I definitely saw some worms or caterpillars in her beak today going in. But it seems pretty random, not as much as I would expect...

We'll see.

Well maybe she sneaks in and out when you're not watcing! I have'nt seen them today..or heard them..maybe laying low as its pouring down again!!!! Cant wait to see them feeding their young ..if they satay..who knowss..:)
