Last night I took the art class down the GLen..properly known as Pittencrieff park in the middle of the town. Andrew Carnegie who was born here gifted this and the library and other buildings to the town after he had made his millions in USA.
Its the most beautiful place at all times of day, and last night was no exception. The shadows the setting sun cast were amazing! And it was warm!
They all enjoyed it..wish I could take all my classes in beautiful outdoor places..alas the Scottish weather won’t allow it! ;)

The small pond with statue, which I encorporated in one of the banners I had to paint for the park last year. The sun cast such lovely shadows..I could have taken loads of pics of it!!

Some of the students sitting on the grass doing sketches of it..hopefully to be painted later in the year when the school classes start again.

View from the side

As the sun went round the side of the Pavilion I got this cool shot

Down the path a bit and it got a bit darker..so many great trees and bushes there.

A tree! lol

One fo the students nestled down in the tree trunk to draw the Museum

ANother student at the side of the bright orange museum..I should have taken a pic earlier it really was bright orange

This part is leading down to the bottom glen..we didnt go down there are there were hundreds of midges appearing by this time!

Robert carries on sketching, but Janet was being eaten alive by the midges, so we decided to call it a night.

On the way back to the car park, the sun wil still there and the park looked amazing. It was a good night! :)
