Acers
Three of the acers I bought from Lidl at £2.29 each. I hope they survive!
Does anyone know if I should put them into the garden now, or wait a bit? I have kept them in a temporary "greenhouse" outside for the last ten days as before that they were presumably in a shop or warehouse...

Many thanks, Fourseasons. Will pop them back into the cover then until the weather warms up.

I should wait a little. We had two established acers die in a blast of icy weather one year in mid May. They seem to be able to withstand frost if the leaf is in bud. But once the leaves have erupted they seem to be very vunerable and don't seem to recover well. The younger the plant the more risk there is. Your plants will be more advanced than they should be because they've been protected.
