It does, Milky, I have two in my garden, one by the back door and the other on the fence (the blackbirds have nested in it in the past).

Gorgeous plant and beautiful fragrance.
I have one and have found it to be quite slow to 'get going', is this quite common ?
(actually, is mine Asiatica ?? Will double check myself)

Both of mine were planted about 10 years ago, Louise, so I can't remember if they were so to take off or not :)
They are certainly fairly fast growing now and I cut them back at the end of the autumn, otherwise they block the guttering!
