Spectacular autumn in 2007. We prune the acers quite hard - just the growth of the previous year.

This is just drop-dead gorgeous......my jaw is open with tongue hanging out as well! Fantastic combination of shapes & colours.....I would just never leave a garden like this.....!

The challenge is to predict the best day for autumn colour this year so that the BBC film crew can capture it. Last year it was stunning on 4 November - other years it has been as early as 26 October!
