Gardeners ought to be even more adven... Pictures by Muddywellies
Gardeners ought to be even more adventurous (within reason)
Take this Philodendron selloum which at 10ft across would be too big to stay inside the house. But it does enjoy this unheated location that often freezes during the winter (and Bank Holidays- LOL). But the most amazing part is watching the soft new leaves unfurl. All that 'tangled mess' of deeply pinnatisect foliage as it gradually plumps-up just like a butterfly drying its wings. Yet with reference to my own blog entitled 'What are hardy plants and what does it mean? most books suggest this plant should be grown at no lower than +15C.
What else?
This photo is of species Philodendron selloum.
